Sasaba Guji N
Seasonal Series
This exquisite new Ethiopian lot comes from the Sasaba Washing Station in the heart of Guji. This pronounced Guji coffee captured our attention with its bright, zesty citrus sensation, intertwined with smooth jelly and chewy texture of marmalade. Honey, orange, with a subtle ginseng-like profile completes the tasting journey, offering a refreshing, clean comfort finish.
About Coffee
Tsegay Hagos Tesfaye founded Sasaba in the small town of Bule Hora, located in the Kercha district of Ethiopia.
The success of the Sasaba mill is closely tied to the smallholders, where Tsegay gave training to them to improve quality and pays out premiums when the quality is outstanding.
The mill is equipped with a sizable pulper and features more than 600 raised African drying beds. Sasaba processes coffee sourced from over 500 smallholder farmers who cultivate their crops in the hills surrounding the mill. Situated at approximately 2,000 meters above sea level, this coffee embodies the unique flavors bestowed by Ethiopia's fertile highlands.
